A NICE decision

Today’s Alzheimer’s decision is welcome news for patients, clinicians and families – and will hardly bankrupt the NHS – so it is to be welcomed all round.

NICE does a fantastic job involving more complexity than many people realise, and this decision does it credit by showing it is willing to reconsider decisions.

Many people having to deal with a devastating and heartbreaking illness will be a bit happier today and it is hard to put a cost on that – even though NICE must.
