Sussex trust to cut 40 HR and procurement posts
The director of human resources at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust has said that halving the number of posts in human resources and procurement will help “give the decision-making back to the front line”.
According to the BBC, Graham White said: “This is not about moving the work from the back office to the front office, it is about deciding whether the work needs to be done at all any more.
“In the last 10 years, the NHS has increased 7% in size, yet it has increased by 60% in terms of management.”
The trust plans to cut the 40 posts by April 2013.
